SHE CAN PLAY Launches Women's Football Team for 2024/25 Season in Essex, UK

SHE CAN PLAY, the leading advocate for girls football in England, proudly announces the launch of its very own women's football team for the 2024/25 season. Spearheaded by Kat Clifton, a former semi-professional footballer and the Founder of SHE CAN PLAY, the team is set to make waves in the Essex football scene.

Kat Clifton, whose passion for the beautiful game and dedication to empowering women in sports knows no bounds, brings her wealth of experience to the forefront as the team's manager. With a vision to foster a culture of inclusivity and excellence, Clifton aims to provide a platform for aspiring female footballers to showcase their talent and realise their full potential.

Backing her vision as Head Coach is Georgia Maxwell-Jones, whose tactical acumen and commitment to player development make her the perfect fit for SHE CAN PLAY's inaugural women's team. Maxwell-Jones brings a fresh perspective and a winning mentality to the squad, ensuring that every player receives the guidance and support needed to thrive on and off the pitch.

The team will convene once a week for training sessions aimed at honing their skills, building team chemistry, and preparing for the challenges ahead. With a focus on professionalism and dedication, SHE CAN PLAY's women's team is poised to make a significant impact in the competitive landscape of women's football.

Home games will be held at the esteemed Noak Hill Sports Complex in Romford, providing fans with an opportunity to witness the team's journey firsthand and be part of the excitement. The state-of-the-art facilities at Noak Hill Sports Complex will serve as the perfect backdrop for thrilling matches and unforgettable moments on the field.

SHE CAN PLAY extends a warm invitation to all passionate and hardworking female footballers in Essex who share the team's ambition and drive. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a rising star, there's a place for you in the SHE CAN PLAY family. Together, we'll strive to achieve greatness and pave the way for future generations of female footballers.

Kat Clifton's dream of one day competing in the Women's Super League (WSL) and ascending through the women's football pyramid serves as a beacon of inspiration for the team. With determination and perseverance as our guiding principles, SHE CAN PLAY's women's team is ready to write the next chapter in the rich history of women's football.
