Our programme focuses on technical excellence, player confidence and long-term development, while also providing competitive opportunities for players to perform at a high level.

As we prepare for the 2026/27 season, we are seeking ambitious Head Coaches, Lead Technical Coaches and Assistant Coaches who are passionate about developing players within a professional, player-centred environment.


The Roles

Head Coach

The Head Coach will play a key leadership role within the programme, delivering high-quality coaching sessions while leading a team competing within the JPL competitive programme.

This role is ideal for coaches who value both player development and competitive performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of high-quality technical coaching sessions.
  • Manage and coach a team competing within the JPL.
  • Design and implement Individual Player Development Plans (IPDPs).
  • Monitor and track player progression throughout the season.
  • Create a challenging and supportive environment that encourages creativity, confidence and decision-making.
  • Support the wider development philosophy and values of the club.

Lead Technical Coach

The Lead Technical Coach will support the delivery of the development programme through high-quality session delivery and player support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging technical sessions aligned with the programme philosophy.
  • Create a fixture programme for all age groups in showcase games against other academies and professional clubs in half terms. 
  • Support the design and monitoring of Individual Player Development Plans.
  • Provide constructive feedback to players to support their development.
  • Maintain high professional and safeguarding standards.

Assistant Coach

Assistant Coaches will support the delivery of sessions while gaining valuable experience within a structured development programme.

Key Responsibilities

    • Support the Lead Coach in session delivery and organisation.
    • Assist with practice setup, player engagement and feedback.
    • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
    • Support player development within sessions.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Passion for player development and football coaching.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, willing to have difficult and honest conversations with parents/players. 
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive coaching environment.
  • Reliable and professional attitude.
  • Availability to work Mondays, Fridays and/or Saturdays.

Desirable

  • UEFA A Licence or UEFA B Licence (preferred for Head Coach / Lead Technical Coach).
  • FA Coaching Qualification (minimum Introduction to Coaching Football for Assistant Coaches).
  • Experience delivering or supporting Individual Player Development Plans.
  • Experience working within academy, FA or development centre environments.
  • FA Safeguarding and First Aid qualifications.
